Will there be any dine outs this summer to support the pool?

  2. I and the Marketing and Promotions Director for Atlanta Sport and Social Club. We are looking for a pool for our water polo tournament in August. If yours would potentially be available on a Saturday in August, please let me know. If so, what are your hourly rates?

The Grant Park Pool is owned and operated by the City of Atlanta. Please direct your inquiry to the Aquatics department. This sounds like a fun event, and if you’re able to get the City to approve it, let us know and we can publicize it. Friends of Grant Park Pool are simply advocates for the pool.

We had one dine-out at Six Feet Under in May. We didn’t schedule additional dine-outs because these require a lot of effort, and most of us are going on 8 years of volunteering with the pool. Please consider using the PayPal button on the front page of our site to make a donation to support our efforts to improve the pool.

Are there reserved lap lanes during all paid swimming hours? Evenings too?

  6. Eddie Deason says:

I realize this is the web site for the Grant Park Pool, but I am trying to find out if you know when the observation tower was built in the Park at Boulevard. What year it was built and possibly the year it was torn down.
    Thank you,
    Eddie

Unfortunately we can’t conclusively answer your question, which is best directed to pool management. We’re simply advocates for the pool, and have no governance authority.

  9. admin says:

The Grant Park Conservancy can likely answer your question.

  10. admin says:

Yes, two lanes of the pool are reserved for lap swimmers any time that the pool is open.

This is Barrette. I worked at the pool last year and just wanted to know wether or not we go through the pool or usa pools to re-apply

  12. admin says:

Barrette, unfortunately the Friends of Grant Park Pool are not aware of the details of the application process. Please contact the City of Atlanta’s Parks and Recreation Department with your request.

Will there be a Swim Team?

  14. Kris says:
