Contact Us
There are a lot of ways to get involved with your pool this summer. If you
see something you’re interested in helping with, contact that person directly.
Otherwise, contact Melissa Devereaux and she can help you figure out how
to get plugged in. Remember, Friends of Grant Park Pool is simply a group
of concerned neighbors that are trying to help make the pool a better place
for everyone! Please join us…many hands make light work!
Melissa Devereaux serves
as primary contact for Friends of Grant Park Pool, as well as Volunteer
Recruitment and Fundraising Coordinator.
Tim Saviello, our Facilities
Coordinator, is working with the city to provide extra support for the
facility. His role includes assessing facility needs, communicating with
the city, and working to make improvements.
Rachel Chmiel, our Program
Development Coordinator, is identifying ways to enhance everyone’s experience
of the pool through programs such as swimming lessons, establishing a
swim team, planning social events, etc.
Susan Rouse, our Fundraising
Coordinator, coordinates dine-outs, and in the past has managed our concessions program. We’re not presently offering concessions.
Sylvia Davis, our Donations
Coordinator, corresponds with donors to ensure that they receive documentation
for donations. All donations to the Friends of Grant Park Pool are tax-deductible,
as the Friends are part of the Grant Park Neighborhood Association, a
501(c)3 non-profit corporation.
Kellie McDonald coordinates
our mid-summer pool parties in June, which helps us celebrate continued improvements at the pool! She works hard to plan, set-up, clean-up,
cook, serve drinks, and help throw a GREAT party!
David Ringstrom, our Web
Site Coordinator, maintains the Friends of Grant Park Pool web site, writes
articles for the Porch Press, and helps send out e-mail newsletters.
Genny Drash previously co-managed the concessions, but presently coordinates the swimming lessons for Friends of Grant Park Pool.
You can contact the Grant Park Pool directly at 404-622-3041.
